Welcome to Salon LaBrea’s new website.  My name is Veronica Tranchina and I am thrilled that you have taken time to learn more about how we can serve you. Salon LaBrea was founded in 2005 and was one of the first hair salons in Abacoa.  Our goal was to create a warm, relaxing and convenient professional salon for the residents of Abacoa.  The salon is conveniently located in the Antigua neighborhood just 30 seconds from the fountain on Main Street.  We specialize in:

About Me

I was born and raised in Southern New Jersey and I’ve been involved with hair most of my life.  In fact, hair is a family affair with our family.   I grew up with a wonderful mother who was always curling, coloring, cutting or doing updos for someone.  She inspired both my sister and I to get into the hair business right out of high school.  I attended the Maison deParis cosmetology school in Haddonfield, NJ, which is now called Rizzieri Aveda School , and is still owned by nationally recognized Ann Marie and Frank Rizzieri.

I’ve  been married for 27 years to my husband Michael and we have lived in many parts of the country including California, Iowa, Virgina and New Jersey.  We moved to Florida in 2004 just in time for hurricanes Francis and Jean.  After raising three children, Michael 25, Jaclyn 23 and Erin, 21,  I am back in the hair business full time!

I learned very early in my career that the hair business is not about hair, but about people.  Doing hair has provided me an opportunity to meet many wonderful people, many of which are our neighbors here in the Abacoa community.  I hope to meet you soon!
